Silobration 2022
My boyfriend and I are fans of Joanna Gaines and her style. We made it a priority to attend the Silobration this fall so we could experience Magnolia at its finest. If you are not familiar with the Silobration, it is held at the Silos and they bring in vendors from all over the country to sell homemade goods. They also bring in food trucks, have special events (roller skating and live music this year), and bring in people who they work with on projects. (This year it was an author and a poet). Overall, it is a fun weekend and below are the details of how we spent our time.
The Silobration was from Thursday to Saturday. We drove down Thursday and spent Friday and Saturday at the event.
Where we stayed: We stayed at the Super 8 by Baylor University. The hotel was ok but the location was fantastic. We were only a few minutes away from Magnolia Table and maybe 10 minutes from The Silos. 6 out of 10.
What we ate:
Friday:
Breakfast: Magnolia Table
Alex had the campfire pancakes and even though they were good, they were really sweet. I had the pimento grilled cheese with tomato basil soup and it was a 10 out of 10. We shared the biscuits with strawberry butter and this was also a 10 out of 10.
Lunch: We ate at the Magnolia Taco Truck.
Alex had the loaded nachos and I had the quesadilla. (It was not the best and we both said we wouldn’t eat there again unfortunately.)
Dinner: Dave’s Hot Chicken.
Alex had the chicken tenders and I had the slider. I thought it was really good and so did Alex but he was disappointed in the spice factor. We would both eat here again.
Saturday:
Breakfast: Magnolia Table (again because it was fantastic!)
Alex had the pimento grilled cheese and tomato soup (told you it was good) and I had the farmer’s eggs benedict. It was again a 10 out of 10. Overall loved the restaurant and will definitely eat there again if given the chance.
Lunch: Club Sandwich Food Truck
Alex had the chicken rice bowl and I had the pork rice bowl. It was really good and the people were amazing.
Dinner: Leftovers
We also stopped at the bakery, the coffee shop, and the sweet shoppe.
Bakery:
Cupcakes for Emilee: Chocolate cupcake was amazing but yellow cupcake with chocolate frosting was not. It was very dry.
Cookies/Bread for Alex: He had the oatmeal creme pie which he said was ok. He also had the pumpkin bread which he said was amazing.
We each had the bacon and cheese biscuit which was really good.
Coffee Shop: Neither of us drink coffee but we both enjoyed the hot chocolate.
Maggie’s Sweet Shoppe: I had the “Call the Doc” drink which was Dr. Pepper with cherry and coconut flavoring. It was not good, and I ended up not finishing it. Alex had the apple hand pie, and he didn’t like it either.
Shopping:
Magnolia:
We stopped in the Magnolia Home, Shops at the Silos, Magnolia Market, and the Little Shop on Bosque. By far my favorite was the shop on Bosque since it was cheap compared to the others since the other locations were high priced in my opinion.
I bought a couple of t-shirts, an ornament, a couple of kitchen spoons, and a bakeware set.
Alex bought the same bakeware set, a couple of t-shirts, and a leather wallet which he ended up getting stamped with his last name.
Vendors:
1Canoe2 - Bought a recipe book from them which was my favorite purchase of the weekend.
Others:
I purchased a cutting board from Harp Design which is Clint’s Shop.
We had a blast attending this celebration and I recommend you go at least once if given the chance. Below are a few of the photos I took over the weekend. I also have more videos and the products I purchased on my Instagram highlight “Silobration 2022”. If you made it this far, I hope you enjoyed the post and have a great day!
